The video streaming space is now a battle royale between the world’s media giants. Apple, Disney to Netflix are already in the ring and the likes of NBC are preparing to join later this year. All these services are packed with original programming and licensed films and TV shows because content is still seen as the key to viewer retention. As a result, billions of dollars are being spent on big-budget productions. Yet, while it is important to constantly update libraries with original shows and fresh content, programming alone will not win the streaming wars.
