TiVo/Comcast patent row goes to ITC

Back in June TiVo claimed a victory in its long battle with Comcast over key patents following an initial decision by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) which favoured TiVo.

The ITC in its preliminary decision found that Comcast had violated several of TiVo’s key technology patents. An earlier decision (in November 2017) also by the ITC had found in favour of TiVo and resulted in Comcast having to disable a remote recording feature of its XI platform. However, that decision needed to be endorsed by the full ITC Commission prior to any formal order.
